Mental Health First Aid Training

Bridges Healthcare received a 5-year Mental Health Awareness Training grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and is able to provide FREE Mental Health First Aid trainings to the communities of Milford, West Haven, Bethany, Orange and Woodbridge, Connecticut.

Mental Health First Aid is an early-intervention, public-education program designed to teach participants how to identify, understand and respond to signs of a mental health or substance use challenge or crisis. In the Mental Health First Aid course, you will learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.

Take a course in-person or online at no cost and get certified in a few hours.

Nationally certified Instructors can provide trainings on several models of the Mental Health First Aid curriculum. Click on the one-page informational sheet below for more information on the model that would be most appropriate for your profession or community involvement.
